Some Internet Marketers(IM's) are ruining Article Writing.

Discover why articles are being almost mass produced by some IM's who care less about the reader.

OLD SCHOOL...Articles inform or entertain, Sales pages sell something. NEW SCHOOL ....articles and sales pages are almost the same, due to unscrupulous IM's.

Wait until you find out what some IM's have been up to.

Not too long ago, people wrote articles to relate a story or to inform the reader so the OLD SCHOOL definition was correct. Today, many articles are being written for different reasons. Fewer and fewer articles are being written for the reader.

More and more and more articles are being written for the WRITER. Huh???

Internet Marketers and Webmasters (IM's) have discovered that articles can serve the writer.

Here's how:

Article writing provides numerous benefits for an IM. Usually one or more links are allowed in the Resource Box and/or Author's Bio. This fact alone is valuable to an IM in two ways. A link back to a website is called a backlink. The more backlinks that a website has, the higher its page rank and higher page rank can mean more likelihood of visitors that are using search engines (more traffic). The link back to the website also provides the IM with a chance that the reader will visit his/her website, but clicking the enclosed link(s).

Articles also provide IM's with ways to take advantage of more and more keywords and keyword phrases that are relevant to their website. The idea here regarding keywords is that whatever popular search word(s), that a potential visitor might type into a search box, the IM has an article with those words throughout the article.

What do this mean to you...the reader?

Many articles are now written for backlinks, page rank, and direct traffic (clicking enclosed link), and search engines (keywords).

The GOAL of many articles and many article writers is to get you (the reader) to go to the Author's Bio and click that link, in other words, more and more articles have a "CALL TO ACTION". The call to action may not be "BUY", but it definitely remains a call to action. Most articles have a headline, subheadline, a body intended to create desire, and a call to action...the same ingredients as a Sales Page.

Since so many article are being written for the writer (with little regard for you...the reader), less and less articles are articles....they are sales pages.

There is a Silver Lining!

There are still writers who write for the sake and passion of writing, and their goal is for your entertainment or to provide you with information. There are also many IM's with OLD SCHOOL values. Old School Values...by that I mean...they receive by giving...what goes around comes around...you reap what you sow...you get the idea.

Even a new shrewd IM with half a brain might figure some things out:

An article with little quality or value will not keep your interest (you leave). A quality article will keep your attention and thus you may click the link. An article can also serve as a "Pre-sell", i.e. it can create some trust and confidence (rapport), so you are even more likely to click the link, and you are more likely to investigate whatever the website may have to offer. In order for an article to be effective it needs to keep your attention and serve as a "Pre-Sell". In order to do that, it needs to be of value.

I have not yet found any mechanical device or software that can write a good article. Some IM's mass produce articles using software...argghhh. Some IM's manually manufacture an article ...a keyword, backlink sensation. Hmmph. The reader (You) is HUNGRY and they are serving you "Rice Cakes" instead of "Steaks". (I apologize to rice cake lovers and vegetarians-grin...but I hope you see the point).

An article that is "Worth the Read" will get more visitors, more clicks, and more sales. Lazy marketers may never learn this lesson. but smart ones will discover that "Content is still king". Old School IM's will not put their name on anything they cannot take pride in it. I am an IM (Old School), and feel that a few bad apples can spoil the whole barrel. If you need some information and more and more articles that you read on the net are a waste of your time...then what. Garbage Article Writing is a lose-lose scenario. The reader loses and so does the writer. Writing Quality articles is a win-win situation.

In Summary: Perhaps article writing has become impersonal, mechanical, and self fulfilling to some IM's. I hope they change. If you are an IM, I hope you feel as I do. I also urge you to pass this feeling on to other IM's...especially new ones who may not realize the pitfalls of Garbage Articles. I do have a link in my Author's Bio that may be of help to you and I do invite you to visit,...BUT...My REAL call to action is to ask you spread the word. In fact, one of the ingredients to success is helping others (not yourself) . You get what you want by helping others get what they want (Zig Ziglar). The reader (general public) does not trust most IM's and with good cause, Garbage Articles just add more fuel to the fire.

The Internet is perceived by some as a scam, the Whole Internet. When governments start perceiving the Net as a SCAM, we are in for some tough sledding. Maybe cleaning up our act and getting others to do the same will save us all a lot of grief in the future...and...you know what ...Do the right thing, because it's the right thing to do (W.
